From Lascaux to the street!
At the beginning, there was nothing, and then primitive art began.
Everyone already knew that the Lascaux cave was one of the first forms of art discovered.
Primitive men’s and women used to drown on the rock things they knew, most of them were animals they used to hunt.
There were principally horses, buffaloes sometimes bears and rhinoceros.
It gave us the opportunity to know about things we might have never known if this form of art didn’t exist.
Can we compare the Lascaux cave to some forms of art we have today?
I think we totally can, and this is why.
Today, in a lot of cities, we can see a lot of walls with graffiti. People are expressing their opinions by writing them on walls. With this technique, everyone can have an access to it and most importantly everyone can do it.
Prehistorical men used to draw because they didn’t know how to write yet. They used to tell stories by drawing what they saw and what they knew. Today it’s exactly the same. We are drawing on the walls to express feelings about the world.
That's what is amazing with art, and what will see through
Different technics, same meanings
One of his later works was shown for Valentine's day. Here we can see how he denounced the violence against women in relationships.
He exposes everyday problems, violence, racism, inequality, money problems, freedom and so much more.
